About the Director

Sister Brenda E. Cherry, OSP

                                  Sister Brenda received a Bachelor of Arts in Education                                    from Xavier University in New Orleans, Louisiana and                                     received her Masters of Early Childhood Education                                         from Towson University in Baltimore, Maryland.

                                 Sister Brenda has served in administration as Director                                      of Mount Providence Center for seven years and Principal of St. Benedict the Moor School for

16 years.  She is passionate about her job, is

a hands-on educator, available to staff, parents

and most importantly to the children.

Sister Brenda is responsible for the curriculum

and programming.  She also has the freedom to

observe classrooms, mentor faculty and staff, and create a safe, healthy, and                                                 loving environment for the children entrusted to                                                her care.
